- Pears
- Water
- sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Wash pears and take stems off. Don't peel. Cut into quarters, core and cook with just enough water so won't scorch. Start low heat. As they make own juice, turn up heat. Cook until soft. (fork tender) Put through sive until just peeling left. Don't do it too long. Measure out pulp. For every cup of pear, add 3/4 cup of sugar. Simmer until thick and spread consistency. Put in jars and seal. Turn upside down.
