Lemon Meringue Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. lemon rind
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 tbsp. sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar, cornstarch, water, yolks, butter, lemon juice, and lemon rind. Place into pie crust.

Beat the egg whites and sugar until stiff peaks form. Place over pie filling. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes.
