Ingredients
- 1/2 c Sliced or slivered almonds
- 2 tbsp Sesame seeds
- ____________
- 1/2 head medium cabbage, shredded
- 1 pkg bean sprouts
- 2 c fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1/4 c sunflower seeds
- ____________
- 3 oz pkg Instant Ramen noodles, broken up
- 1/2 pkg Chow mein noodles
- Dressing
- 1 pkg of seasoning from Ramen Noodles
- 1/4 c EVOO
- 2 -4 tbsp water or chicken broth
- 4 tbsp Soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Toast almonds and sesame seeds until golden brown by placing in a single layer on a cookie sheet in a 350oF oven for about 5 minutes. Watch carefully as they can get too dark in no time. Remove from oven. Set aside.

Put shredded cabbage and bean sprouts into a large bowl. Add mushrooms, onions and sunflower seeds. Add toasted almonds and sesame seeds.

Combine broken noodles and chow mein noodles in small bowl. Set aside.
Dressing
Empty seasoning packet from the pkg of noodles into a small bowl or jar. Add oil, soy sauce, vinegar, water (or chicken broth), sugar and pepper. Whisk together or shake in covered jar.
Pour dressing over cabbage mixture. Toss. Sprinkle dry noodles over top.
