Crock Pot Roast Beef Au Jus

This is one of my favorite crock pot beef recipes. It cooks in its own juices and makes a lovely gravy.

Ingredients

  • 1 beef roast, lean, cheap cut
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (roasted garlic is wonderful)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix onion soup and mushroom soup in a bowl. You can cook the roast on of 2 ways. Place roast in a roasting or crock pot bag, OR place the roast on thick or doubled sheet of aluminum foil.

Spoon soup mixture over roast and coat. Close up bag or foil and place in slow cooker. Add 3/4 c of water to pot.

Cook roast on low for 7-8 hours until roast is falling apart. Serve over noodles or rice.
