Medallion Sugar cookies

Ingredients

  • 3 2/3 C sifted flour
  • 2 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 2/3 C butter
  • 1 1/2 C sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t van x
  • 4 t milk

Preparation

Step 1

Sift flour, add baking powder and salt then sift again.
Cream butter, add sugar gradually. Add eggs, one at a time. Add van x.
Then add flour, alternating w/ milk. Chill. Roll 1/8" thick and cut out. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet @350.
Dough can be kept in frig for one week.

Icing: 1 1/2 C 10x
3 T milk
Divide and add color
