Clam Chowder

Original recipe was fish chowder with clams, but I found the fish wasn't needed to be a excellent chowder

Ingredients

  • 2-3 oz salt pork
  • 6 Medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 Large onion, diced
  • 1 can minced clams
  • 1 can chopped clams
  • 1 pack frozen spinach
  • Milk
  • heavy cream

Preparation

Step 1

sauté salt pork until done and remove. In drippings brown potatoes and large onion. Add milk (enough to make size of batch desired). Cook low and slow until potatoes are tender.

Add heavy cream, approx. 1 pint, clams drained, and chopped spinach, drained.

Cook til heated through.
