Mushroom & Gruyere Toasts

Ingredients

  • 1/4 loaf french baguette, 1/4" thick slices
  • 4 oz Gruyere cheese, sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pd mushrooms, sliced thin
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1/4 c. marsala wine
  • 2 T chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Preparation

Step 1

Arrange baguette slices on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Top slices with Gruyere cheese.

Heat oil in a saute pan over high heat. Add mushrooms and saute until browned and dry.

Add wine, parsley and garlic and simmer for 1 minute.

Bake crostinis at 350 degrees until cheese melts. Remove from overn, top with mushrooms and serve.
