Ingredients
- 4 cups (1 L) firmly packed rasberries
- 3 cups (750ml.) granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. (50ml.) lemon juice
Preparation
Step 1
In large heavy saucepan, combine berries and sugar. Over low heat, stir with wooden spoon until sugar is dissolved. Increase heat to high and bring to rolling boil; continue boiling, uncovered , for 5 minutes.
Add lemon juice, return to boil and continue boiling for 5 to 10 minutes until mixture thickens and reaches jell stage.
Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes, skimming off foam and stirring occasionally to prevent floating fruit. Pour into hot sterilized jars. Seal , cool and label. Store in cool, dry dark place.
