Ingredients
- 4 to 6 oz uncooked fettucine
- 1/2 lb med shrimp, shelled & deveined
- 2 slices bacon, crisply cooked & diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 to 1/4 tsp ground red pepper
- 1 - 14.5 oz can stewed tomatoes, undrained
- 1 - 8 oz can tomato sauce
- Pinch each ground cinnamon & ground cloves
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
Preparation
Step 1
Cook pasta according to directions, drain. Cut shrimp in half lengthwise. In large skillet, heat bacon, garlic and ground red pepper; cook and stir 1 minute. Add stewed tomatoes with juice, tomato sauce, cinnamon and cloves. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add shrimp and bell pepper, cook 2 to 3 minutes or until shrimp are pink. Just before serving, spoon sauce over hot fettucine.
