Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 Tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 cups blueberries
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 stick melted butter
- 1/2 cup skim milk
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat over to 400F. Have ready a 2 qt shallow baking dish.
2. Whisk the 3/4 cup sugar and cornstarch in a medium saucepan until blended. Add 1 cup blueberries and 1/4 cup water. Bring to boil over med-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer until thickened, about 1 minute.
3. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining berries and lemon juice. Pour into baking dish.
4. Put 2 TBS of sugar, the flour, baking powder, and salt in medium bowl. Stir until well blended. Add butter and milk and stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. Drop generous TBSpoonfuls onto fruit leaving spaces between each making 8 biscuits.
5. Sprinkle remaining TBS sugar over biscuits.
6. Set baking dish in oven. Bake 40-45 minutes.
