Best Lemon Bars Ever

Ingredients

  • Cake ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • Lemon filling ingredients:
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 Tbs flour
  • 2 lemons, juiced

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In medium bowl blend together softened butter, 2 cups flour and 1/2 cup sugar. Press into bottom of greased baking pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until firm and golden.

In another bowl whisk together remaining 1 1/2 cups sugar 1/4 cup flour. Whisk in eggs and lemon juice until smooth. Pour over baked crust.

Bake for additional 20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes before cutting and serving.
