Shrimp Creole

Ingredients

  • 2 TBS olive oil
  • 1/2 C diced green peppers
  • 1/2 C diced onions
  • 1/2 C diced celery
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 14 oz can tomatoes
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 TBS hot sauce
  • 1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp white sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 lbs peeled shrimp
  • Green onions to garnish

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat crock pot on high
In fry pan heat olive oil. Add peppers onions and celery. Cook until softened. Add chili powder and saute until carmelized. Remove from heat and pour into crock pot. Add tomatoes tomato sauce hot sauce Worcestershire white sugar and salt and pepper. Cook 3 hrs. Add shrimp and cook for about 3 mins. Serve over rice. Top with chopped green onions.
