Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef round steak, cut into strips
  • 6 Tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1-1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 bouillion cubes
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 - 4 oz can mushrooms
  • 1 lg onion
  • 1 cup sour cream

Preparation

Step 1

Dredge meat in flour, salt and pepper mixture and cook in fat or oil. Add water, mustard, salt & pepper, mushrooms, onions and bouillion.

Cover and cook over low for 1 hour or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally.

Thicken with flour & water if necessary. Add Worcestershire sauce and sour cream. Bring almost to boiling.

Serve over rice or noodles.
