Jewish Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup oil
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 3 apples, peeled and cored

Preparation

Step 1

Grease and flour a tube/bundt pan.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mix together 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon and set aside

Slice 3 apples and set aside

Mix all the above ingredients, except cinnamon and sugar mixture and apples together. Pour 1/2 the batter into pan, arrange apples on top of batter, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Pour remaining batter on top and arrange remaining apple slices and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon and sugar mixture.

Bake for 1 1/2 hours. Test to ensure baked through.
