Egg Souffle

Ingredients

  • 14 slices of white bread trimmed
  • 1/2 lb. grated cheddar cheese ( I use fat free)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/4 lb. butter

Preparation

Step 1




Quarter bread slices. Divide into 4 piles.
Make 3 piles of the cheese.
Layer bread and cheese alternately starting and ending with bread, in a 2 qt. casserole.


Beat eggs, salt and milk in blender until frothy and pour over bread-cheese.


Melt butter and pour over the top.


Bake covered at 400 degrees in s shallow pan of water for 1 hour and 15 minutes
