Pine Bark

Got this recipe from a patient, Dr R. He made this and brought into us for Christmas.

Ingredients

  • Saltine Crackers
  • 2 sticks butter, melted
  • 1 c brown sugar, packed
  • 6 oz choc chips

Preparation

Step 1

Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
Layer saltine crackers on foil.
In saucepan, add butter & brown sugar; bring to slight boil for 5 minutes. Pour sugar mixture over crackers, spreading evenly.
Bake at 400 uhtil mixture bubbles vigorously, 4-5 minutes.
Remove from oven & sprinkle evenly with choc chips.
Place in fridge or freezer til hardened. Remove fro foil and break into pieces.
Best if kept refrigerated.
