Ingredients
- 3 3 3 cups cake flour
- 1 1 1 tab. b.powder
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1vanilla 1vanilla bean cut and scraped
- 1 1 1 cup unsalted butter cubed at room temp
- 2 2 2 cups sugar
- 5 5 5 large eggs room temp
- 1 1/4 1 1/4 1/4 cups buttermilk room temp
- 1 1 1 tab. vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
sift flour, b powder, and salt
place butter in mixing bowl and scrape vanilla bean in butter beat 3 min on med until butter is light in color, stop and scrape bowl and beat 1 more min
add sugar, 1/4 cup at a time, beating 1 min after each addition-add eggs 1 at a time. reduce mixer speed. stir vanilla into buttermilk and add alternating with flour mixture-spoon into either cupcakes or greased 9 in pans (2) fitted with parchment-bake 45 min or according to size of pans-cool completely before removing from pans
