Colombian Cheese Cake

By

This recipe comes from my daughter's neighbor, while living in Houston Texas.
It is very good,plus different.
NOTE: Make your pie crust and let cool before starting the rest of this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 Cups of graham cracker crumbs
  • (1 package)
  • 1/4 Cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. Philladelphia Cream
  • Cheese
  • 2 Envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 Cup lemon juice
  • 1 Can of sweet condensed milk
  • 2 packages of unflavored gelatin
  • 1 Cup cold water
  • 1 Can of your favorite fruit pie
  • filling

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter or margarine. Grease a pie pan, and place the above into the pan. Press with a fork, making your pie crust. Bake at
250 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool, before starting the rest of the recipe.
In a mixing bowl on medium speed, mix the cream cheese, sweet condensed milk, and lemon juice. While mixing the above ingredients, get a small saucepan and add the 1 cup water and stir in the 2 pkg. of gelatin. Put stove on low-medium heat and heat until gelatin is dissolved. Add the gelatin/water to your cream cheese mixture and mix well. Pour over your cooled pie crust.
Refrigerate for about 4 hours. Also put your can of fruit pie filling into refrigerator to get cold. When ready to serve spread the pie filling on top of your cream cheese mixture.
