Poppyseed Fluff

Ingredients

  • CRUST:
  • 1 cup graham crumbs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup ground nuts
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • FILLING:
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 egg yolks
  • BEAT ABOVE UNTIL SUGAR DISSOLVES

Preparation

Step 1

Add 1/4 cup poppyseed
2 tbsp cornstarch and cook with above mixutre until thick
Dissovle 1 1/2 tsp unflavoured gelatin in 1/4 cup water. Add to the above cooked mixture and add 1 tsp vanilla extract

In a separate bowl beat 5 egg whites until stiff and add 1/2 tsp cream of tartar or baking power with 1/2 cup granulated sugar. Beat well

Folk egg white mixture into colled filling and pour over crust
Top with whipping cream and serve
