Potatoes Paprika

Ingredients

  • 3 medium size potatoes
  • 4 Tbs. olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 peeled and chopped onion
  • 1 clove minced garlic.
  • 1 Tbs. Szeged Hungarian Paprika (
  • Salt
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 chopped large tomato(approx 1 1/2 cups)

Preparation

Step 1

Peel 3 medium size potatoes and cut into French fry segments approximately 2" long. Heat 4 Tbs. olive oil or vegetable oil in a saute or large saucepan and add 1 peeled and chopped onion and 1 clove minced garlic. Cook gently until onion is transparent. Stir in 1 Tbs. Szeged Hungarian Paprika (either the milk or hot), add the potatoes, season with salt and cook for a few seconds while stirring. Add about 2 cups water, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Add 1 green bell pepper cut into strips and 1 chopped large tomato(approx 1 1/2 cups). Cover and simmer until potatoes are just tender. Approximately 10-15 minutes. Serve with milk Polish or Italian sausages. Serves 4.
