Ingredients
- 2 small heads butter lettuce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons chicken broth
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Cut the heads of lettuce in quarters
lengthwise, then crosswise into 1 inch
slices. Combine these in a large saucepan
with the butter and the broth. Heat gently until the lettuce wilts, then cover the pan and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Season to taste. Serve using a slotted spoon.
