Grandma Bond's Strawberry Pie

Ingredients

• Butter Pie Crust
• 1 cup flour
• 2 tbsp powdered sugar
• 1 stick very cold butter (cut into squares and put in freezer 15 minutes before using)
• 1 quart strawberries (washed and well drained)
• Filling
• 1 cup sugar
• 3 tbsp cornstarch
• 1 cup water
• few drops red food coloring
• dash of salt
• 2 tbsp strawberry jello

Preparation

Step 1

Cook filling until thick. Put whole strawberries in cooked pie crust. Pour filling over strawberries. Cool three hours or more. Top with cool whip and serve.
