MUSHROOM- WINE SAUCE

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 12 shallots, chopped
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 garlic Clove, minced
  • 1 (8-ounce) package fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 (10 3/4-ounce) cans beef consomme, undiluted
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine

Preparation

Step 1

MELT butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shallots, green onions, and garlic; saute 2 minutes. Add mushrooms; saute 5 minutes, Add flour, and cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute,

Gradually stir in consomme and wine cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Prep: 15 min. Cook: 13 min.
