rich yeast crescents

Ingredients

  • 1 c shortening
  • 1 cake yeast
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp saly
  • 3-1/2 c flour
  • 1/2 c scalded milk
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten

Preparation

Step 1

Cut shortening and yeast into dry ing till like a coarse meal. Add cooled milk and eggs. Mix thoroughly. Shape lightly and chill 2 hours or overnight. Roll out to 1/8" on board sprinkled with flour. Cut into five 10" circlex then eac circle into 8 wedges. Spread eith butter and roll into crescent shape bake at 400 on greased cookie sheet for 15 min
