Flaky Pastry

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 t. salt
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • water

Preparation

Step 1

Have flour in freezer. In a big bowl mix flour and salt together. With pastery blender cut shortening into the flour, until course crumbs. make a well and add a little ice water at a time, just until pastery hold together, don't add too much water, it will make your crest tough; don't over mix. Shape into a ball flattened wrap in plastic wrap and place in ref. for about 1/2 hr.
