CINNAMON RAISIN BREAD PUDDING

Ingredients

  • 8 cups raisin egg/challah bread(torn in small pieces) You may use plain and add raisins. Optional!
  • 2 apples peeled and sredded or sliced thinly
  • 3 whole eggs
  • 6 egg yolkes
  • 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 T. vanilla
  • 1/2 T cinnamon 4 T. butter

Preparation

Step 1

Saute apples in melted butter till soft. Remove from heat.

In a 8 X 10 pan, layer apples and bread cubes.

In a bowl combine eggs,egg yolkes cream, milk,sugar vanilla and cinnamin. Beat well and pour over bread and apples. Let soak 15 min. to get all bread soft.

Place pan in another pan and fill with hot water to 1 inch of top Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min or till a knife comes out clean. Cool slightly and use your favorite sauce to top. I use hot whiskey sauce or melted ice cream with bourbon. YOU MAY ADD WHITE CHOC CHIPS AND RAISINS. I SOAK 1 CUP RAISINS
IN AMERETTO ABOUT 30 MIN. ENJOY!
