Ingredients
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 3 cups water
- 1 (29oz) can tomato sauce
- 2 (15oz) cans diced tomatoes
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp season salt
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 cups dried elbow macaroni
Preparation
Step 1
1. In a Dutch oven, sauté ground beef over medium heat until no pink remains.
2. Add onions and sauté until they are tender, about 5 minutes.
3. Add next 10 ingredients and mix well. Cover and allow this to cook for 20-25 minutes.
4. Add elbow macaroni, stir well, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes.
5. Turn off heat, remove bay leaf and allow mixture to sit about 30 minutes before serving.
