Wilted Lettuce

Ingredients

  • 1 Head Leaf Lettuce, washed
  • 4-6 Slices Bacon
  • 1/4 Cup Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 Cup Bacon Grease
  • 1/8 Cup or more Chopped Green Onions
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/8 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp. Sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Shred lettuce with knife. Fry bacon until crisp, saving grease. Add vinegar and bacon grease, heat through. Add lettuce and onion. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar; heat 1-2 minutes until lettuce is wilted. Top with crumbled bacon. Serve immediately.
