Ingredients
- 5 c flour
- 1 pound shortening
- 3-4 Tbsp brown sugar (only for sweet pastry)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- Enough cold water to fill 1 cup
Preparation
Step 1
Mix flour sugar and salt
Cut in Crisco using food processor and then pastry blender
Place egg in 1 cup measure
Add vinegar and then fill with ice water
Toss the water with the flour until well moistened (may need more water)
Let stand for awhile in the frig.
