Buttercream (wedding)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Crisco
  • 2 pounds Confectioner's sugar (8 cups)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1-2 teaspoons flavoring (vanilla* and/or butter)
  • 6-8 oz whipping cream

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening until fluffy. Add sugar and continue creaming until well blended. Add salt, flavoring and whipping cream. Blend on low speed until moistened then beat at med/high until fluffy.

*use clear vanilla for white frosting or regular vanilla for cream-colored.
