Salsa Verde Fresca

A fresh green salsa that goes well with everything!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. tomatillos
  • 1/3 cup diced white onion
  • 1 or 2 chiles serranos
  • 1 bunch cilantro (approx 15 stems)
  • 1 cup broth or water
  • 1 Tbsp. lard or veg. oil
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

Step 1

1. Roughly chop tomatillos, onion, chiles serranos, and cilantro.

2. Add tomatillos, onion, chiles serranos, cilantro, and broth to blender and blend.

3. Bring to boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes, adding salt to taste.

4. Serve immediately and/or refrigerate.
