Ruch Shrimp and Corn Bisque

A bisque, we came up with when, Raina described that she liked when she went to DSU

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen corn
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 T flour
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 cups peeled and diced potatoes
  • 1 can cream corn
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 lb. peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 2 cups (aprox.) cream

Preparation

Step 1

Sauté onions in butter until tender. Add potato, corn, seasonings, and chicken stock cook until potatoes are done. Use flour and some chicken stock wish in cook until done, thickened. Add cream corn, shrimp and cream heat until heated through.
