Buttermilk Whole Wheat Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk (if you don't have buttermilk, substitute 1 cup milk with 1 3/4 teaspoon cream of tartar)
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 2 Tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients. Pour onto a hot griddle until bubbles appear on top. Flip over for slightly more. Serve with butter and syrup.
