Granola

Ingredients

  •  4 cups old fashioned rolled oats – large flakes
  •  1/4 cup wheat germ
  •  1/4 cup each if pecan pieces, sliced almonds, walnut pieces
  •  1/4 cup. sunflower seeds
  •  1/4 cup sesame seeds
  •  8 tbsp. grape seed oil
  •  1/2 cup pure maple syrup

Preparation

Step 1

Warm the maple syrup and oil in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until blended. In a bowl combine all other ingredients and pour maple syrup/oil mixture over the oat mixture and stir until well coated. Spoon onto a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 385° F for 20 minutes – stirring once after 10 minutes to distribute mixture.

You can have this as a cereal with almond milk, or add on top of yogurt or on top of applesauce. You can also add raisins, or dried cranberries, dates or apricots.
