Caramelized Onion Relish

Ingredients

  • 2 T olive oil
  • 2 large red onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • Kosher salt and pepper
  • 2 T cider Vinegar
  • 1 T dark brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions, thyme, 1/2 t salt and 1/4 t pepper, Cook, stirring occasionally, until the pins are golden and tender 13 to 15 mins. Stir in the vinegar and sugar. Serve warm or at room Temperature.
