Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb top round
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 TB brown sugar
  • 2 TB onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp coarsely cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 c vegetable oil

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients EXCEPT BEEF in bowl forming a paste. PREHEAT oven to 275. Cut beef across grain in very thin slices. Spread paste on both sides of each slice..

Cover with plastic and refrigerate 2 hours.

Arrange beef strips on wire rack over large cookie sheet. Bake 1-1/2- 2 hrs until brown, crisp and brittle.
