Nana's Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 3 cups of sugar
  • 2 sticks butter (not margarine), room temperature
  • 6 large brown eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 pint heavy whipping crème
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Sift all 3 cups of flour, set aside. Cream together sugar and butter until creamy. Add six large brown eggs slowly (continuously beating on medium speed). Alternately add flour and ½ pint of whipping crème. Add 1 tsp vanilla extract. Spray tube pan ( bundt pan is too small) with baking spray. Cook at 323°F for 30 mins without opening door reduce temp to 300°F for 1 hr. Cool for 4 to 5 minutes on trivet, then turn onto plate.
