Royal Icing for Gingerbread Houses

This icing is perfect for cementing gingerbread house pieces and decorating gingerbread men! Super simple and easy to make.

Ingredients

• 3 egg whites
• 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 4 cups icing sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs and cream of tartar for 4 minutes until fluffy.

Gradually add icing sugar. Beat until stiff.

Use right away, and keep the icing covered with a damp towel between scoops to avoid drying.
