Big White Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cup shortening or 2 sticks of margarine and 1/2 cup shortening
  • 3 tsp almond or 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp almond extract
  • 3 tsp baking powder

Preparation

Step 1

Put all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and blend. Beat on high speed for 5 1/2 minutes . Put into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
