French Onion Soup

Ingredients

  • 8 cups finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 3 tbs. flour
  • 8 cups beef stock/boullion
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • Toasted Italian bread
  • Mozzarella cheese slices

Preparation

Step 1

Stir onions in butter over medium heat until golden brown. Stir in flour. Add stock and juice. Cover and simmer over low heat for 3 hours.

Pour into bowls over toasted bread. Top with cheese.

Bake at 400 to melt cheese
