Strawberry Pie

Ingredients

  • 9 " pie shell baked & cooled
  • 6 cups berries (washed & dried)
  • 3/4 water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

Add 3 cups of sliced or whole strawberries (stems removed) to pie shell.
Mash 3 cups strawberries in large saucepan with fork or potato masher. Add water, sugar and cornstarch and bring to a simmer over medium heat until thickened and clear, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat stir in butter and lemon juice.

Pour mixture over berries in pie shell; refrigerate; serve chilled
