banana split cake #2

Ingredients

  • 3 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 1/4 sticks butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 6 or 7 bananas
  • lemon juice
  • 1 can(1 lb 4 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • whipped topping or whipped cream
  • chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

to male the crust, combine 3 cups of graham cracker crumbs and 1 1/4 sticks of melted butter or margarine. press against the bottom and sides of 9 x 13 inch pan.

place 2 sticks of softened butter or margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla in mixer bowl. beat very well, at least 10 minutes. spread over crust.

slice bananas and dip in lemon juice. arrange on batter. spread well-drained pineapple over the bananas. cover with whipped topping or whipped cream, sprinkle with nuts. chill for several hours and cut into squares to serve.
