Chocolate Sour Cream Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 Cups Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Cup Butter (softened)
  • 5 Eggs
  • 3 1/3 Cup Cake Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Baking Cocoa
  • 1 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 Cup Boiling Water
  • 2 Tsp Vanilla
  • Baking Cocoa, Powdered Sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Grease & flour angel food cake pan (approx. 10x4)
Beat sugar and butter. Beat in eggs (1 at a time)
Mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt. Beat in flour mixture alternately with sour cream, beating after each addition until smooth, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in boiling water and vanilla.

Bake approx. 1 ½ hours. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely. Sprinkle evenly with cocoa and powdered sugar.
