Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • Rub:
  • 1- 4 lb Boneless pork butt
  • 3 T. Dark brown sugar
  • 2 T Essence
  • 1 T Salt
  • 1 T Cumin
  • 1 T Paprika
  • 1 T Pepper
  • 1 T Cayenne pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Place pork in a dish. Combine all rub ingredients. Rub the spices evenly over the pork to coat. Cover with plastic and refrigerate overnight.
Bring pork to room temperature and place in crockpot, fat side up. Slow cook for 7 hours, baste pork with BBQ sauce during this time.
Remove from crockpot and drain juices. Remove fat from meat and shred with two forks. Toss with BBQ sauce and put in fridge until use.
Reheat and enjoy on sandwich buns!!
