Bread - French Toast

  • 1 8 oz carton Egg Beaters, 99% Egg Product
  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 10 slices whole wheat bread
  • maple-flavored syrup, optional

Preparation

Step 1

In shallow bowl, combine egg beaters, milk, cinnamon and vanilla. In nonstick skillet, over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons margarine. Dip bread slices in egg mixture to coat; transfer to skillet. Brown about 3 min. on each side, adding remaining margarine to skillet as needed. Serve with syrup if desired.
