Sauces - Old Time Chocolate Sauce for Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 3 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups of confectioners sugar
  • 1 5.3 oz can evaporated milk

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients in top of double boiler. Cover and heat over boiling water. Stir well when chocolate melts. Cook 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Yields 1 pint. Can be refrigerated and reheated in double boiler each time before serving.
