Ingredients

  • 4 Tomatillos
  • 6 Jalapenos
  • 1/2 Cup Cilantro
  • 1/2 White Onion, coarse chopped
  • 1/4 Lime, juiced
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium sauce pan filled half full with water, boil tomatillos and five jalapenos until soft.

Remove from pot, drain and remove stems and cores.

Combine tomatillos, jalapenos, plus remaining uncooked jalapeno (or Serrano) and remaining ingredients in food processor and puree.

Season with salt and additonal lime juice if needed.

For less heat, remove ribs of jalapenos prior to processing.
