Pie Crust

This makes two pie shells.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • 3-5 T. ice cold water

Preparation

Step 1

Cut butter into flour until it resembles a coarse meal. Then add water 1 T. at a time and mix just until the dough comes together. Don't over knead it or the crust will be tough.

Make it into two round balls. Turn out onto a floured surface.

Remember to brush the crust with an egg wash mix to help them brown. (One egg beat with 3 T. milk)
