Green Beans with Bacon-Balsamic Vinaigrette

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds green beans
  • 2 bacon slices
  • 1/4 cup shallots minced
  • 3 tablespoons sliced almonds
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

Preparation

Step 1

Cook beans in boiling water for 2 minutes, drain and rinse.

Cut up bacon, cook until crisp, set aside.

Add shallots to skillet and sauté for 1 minute. Add almonds and sauté for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add sugar and vinegar, stir until dissolved. Add bacon and stir.

Top beans with vinaigrette. Toss to coat.
