Cinnamon Pralines

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Preparation

Step 1

Cook all ingredients in a heavy 3 quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves and butter melts. Bring to a boil over medium heat, and cook, stirring constantly, 3 minutes or until a candy thermometer registers 230 degrees.

Remove from heat and beat with a wooden spoon 6 minutes or until mixture begins to thicken. Working rapidly, drop by tablespoonfuls onto wax paper coated with vegetable cooking spray, let stand until firm.
